Such is the lustre effect in the glaze, and it is highly reflective, it is particularly hard to photograph, and for that I apologise. The white section on the down side of the vase is the reflected white from the pedastal. The item is truly magnificent in \"real life\". In 1984, he began working with Jan Lewis, at Table Top Ceramics and became production manager. In 1989, he set up his own pottery studio and started making exhibtion pieces, experimenting with the use of lustres, by mixing; different methods of application, and multi firings of the works. He is known for his simple, elegant forms, ranging in size from miniatures to large exhibition pieces. In 1996, he introduced a range of celadon glazed works. His works are marked in gold lustre 'Gibson'. His award winning work is held in public and private collections globally.
