Briefly, Walter Moorcroft retired from W Moorcroft Ltd in March 1987 and was retained as a consultant - and in 1988 the company asked him to make an attempt at recreating Flambe glazes in an electric kiln (when Flambe had only been created in a coal fired muffle kiln previously). With many difficulties engineering an electric kiln suitable to recreate Flambe (and to disperse the gases produced during the process) the project was abandoned due to commercial realities - this is
