In 2014, tubeliner Gill Johnson submitted a striking interpretation of indigenous Australian Art, using a simple yellow colour backdrop and carefully placed beads of tubelined clay to denote the pattern. It was a resounding success at the auction and widely accepted that nothing like it had emerged from the Moorcroft kilns before. Having watched it's appeal draw in curious collectors, it was decided that this special style of design should not be forgotten and it remained on the backburner waiting for the perfect opportunity to present itself.
